We had a private room for a celebration. The Brasserie went way beyond all expectations, they really pushed the boat out for us! Simon had great attention to detail and no matter what I asked for, he helped. The food for so many people arrived seemingly effortlessly, and was mouthwatering, service was excellent and it was a simply splendid occasion.
Delicious food, wonderful service and the owners could not go to more effort to make sure you have a memorable time here. It’s a must if you live in Essex!
We was looking for a decent roast and stumbled across this little gem. The food, service and everything about it was fantastic. We have already booked for the next 2 weekends. They are amazing with children too. Our 1 year okd had a great time

Dropped in here for lunch after a visit to the castle. It was very quiet at midday on Saturday but suspect due to COVID. To be honest I was a little suspicious of the Google rating. Too good to be true for the prices on the menu? Well the waiter was very polite and helpful. The interior was smart and clean. The food was excellent. The moules frites, fish of the day and chicken were really impressive. The chef did a superb job. Desert was excellent too. They were very happy to do anything on the menu as a child's portion too. So does it deserve its Google rating? Absolutely. Highly recommended.

Had a family birthday lunch last week, our first time here (as we moved in the area a year ago), the ambiance was lovely and serene. Food (starters, mains and desserts) and drinks were all of high quality, we all loved it!! Staff were efficient and welcoming. We will come back as we have a menu to taste :) Well done to the amazing Chef!!

To end the meal, the profiterole dessert was absolutely beautiful — I'd even come here just for that to be honest ha. I'm glad to have chosen this local, independent brasserie over a restaurant in bishop Stortford focused on profit. The quality of food, service, and value is impressive.
